![]() ![]() I decided to try a new nail salon close to home when I was in a pinch to get a quick manicure and happened upon this place. I had put on my own lotion because the technician had again disappeared to the reception area after I returned from washing my hands. Bottom line, if one does not drop a bunch of cash at Onyx one does not get even get the minimum level of customer service. To add insult to injury, the supposedly good for your nails "organic"? dip has left me with paper thin nails, similar to when my acrylics came off years ago. I was on my way to another appointment and needed to get in and out - which was the reason for taking the nails off, I just don't have the time to sit at the salon for 2 hrs. After the third time she disappeared, I finally got up and asked her to please finish my nails. The experience at the salon was extremely unpleasant, because I wasn't getting the usual $50 plus service, the manicurist was treating me like a second class citizen, kept walking off in the middle of working on my hands to attend to other guests coming in, chatting at the front desk, etc. Read LessĪfter wearing Organic Dip Nails from Onyx for four months and getting them redone every two weeks and being generally very satisfied with their services, I just had them taken off yesterday. I will never go there I told them they were miss leading on their Facebook page and they deleted my comment they do not care about the customers. She said okay they will at the end of the day I got bright ass fuckin pink nails bc the halo was silver NOT pink like the photo. She said to get the halo nails I needed bright pink I said you can get the colors as long as it'll look like the picture. I showed them a picture they reassured they could do them. I wouldn't have minded paying but they lied about being able to do it. I wanted holographic nails which they said they could do would be an additional 15 dollars. Dip 30something want to add a nail tip 5 dollars mani 4 dollars also an additional 5 for a different shape. ![]() They had about two customers bc it was mid afternoon but they were busy talking about god knows what with their coworkers. When we went in we told them it was our first time and they didn't even tell us how they worked. Me and my friend had appointment last week on Thursday which was only four days ago my nails are already chipped and my pedi is already messed up. I was so excited to try them because of their reviews here but I had a horrible experience. I would definitely suggest going somewhere else both for a shorter wait and more economical service. It seemed to be crowded but according to the technician that was a slow day. I would definitely shop around because they seem to have started to nickel and dime you.The shop is clean and parking is ample. Not only that but the prices have increased at least $10. I was charged $4 for adding the tips which has never happened in my entire life of getting my nails done (and I have had to have tips added a number of times). The person working on my nails wasn't very personable and seemed ambivalent to my attempt at conversation. The main issues are the pricing and the gel coverage. The person applying the gel seemed to be in an incredible hurry and mentioned to my daughter that dipped nails would be better for her than gel. The polish was a beige so it shouldn't have turned out this way. You could see where the nail bed met the end of the nail underneath the polish. My daughter had her nails done with gel and they turned out streaky and light. Re-shaping my nails at home has happened infrequently in the past so this wasn't a huge issue. I did go home and work on the shape a bit because I wasn't able to fully explain (apparently) the shape I was going for to the technician. I have worn dipped French manicure for a while and never have issues so none were to be expected. My nails look great and they have lasted. My nails were short so I needed to have tips added. I decided to go back after six months because I was in the area. G-Organics Handcrafted Soap (Online Operated). ![]()
